Joe Starling is the Perfect Ten. Who says the perfect ideal size has to be a zero or two? Whether you are a blonde, brunette, or black haired or a size 12, beauty comes in all shapes and colors. In Nikki Worrell’s, Perfect Ten, she dispenses and throws out the notion that perfection is being a size zero or two. Worrell perfectly wrote a story that highlights imperfection at its finest. She wrote a story of real flawed characters who happened to see perfection within each other.

Joe Starling is the top male escort for the Perfect Ten agency. He is not afraid to admit that he does occasionally sleep with his clients and he can’t help it if they throw themselves at him. But as Joe continues with his profession, he begins to get bored and discovers that this is probably not what he wants to do in the long run. When Joe gets assigned to escort Faith Graham, Joe becomes obsessed with Faith. For one, she is drop dead gorgeous. Faith is all woman with her curves but unfortunately she doesn’t see it that way. That is until Joe tries to remind and tell her constantly she is indeed beautiful.

Faith is someone that Joe wants to get to know because there is such kindness and beauty that is waiting to be unmasked. One date was not enough for Joe because he wanted Faith and so as he tries to make her see that she is beautiful inside and out. Years of insecurity begins to crumble when Joe reinforces the notion that she is more beautiful than her model stick figure sisters. She is not someone that needs to be in the background but someone who deserves to be in the spotlight. Will Joe be able to show Faith she is more than a perfect ten and is perfect for him?

Perfect Ten is a sweet and beautiful love story. I loved the message that Nikki Worrell highlights. Beauty on the outside fades but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. For Faith Graham, her beauty outshines every person who thought she was ugly because she didn’t fit in their ideal standard of beauty. So if you are looking for a romance that has heart, friendship, love, and steam, Nikki Worrell has written a sweet love story that captures the real beauty.

Now onto the wines.

I know with this book you all would think I would pick a big bold red wine, am I right? Well that didn’t happen this time. Since Joe was such a sweetheart I poured myself a glass of Sutter Home Pinot Grigio. Even thought it was cold and chilly outside, that didn’t stop me from enjoying this nice refreshing white wine. With flavors of white peach, melon, citrus and vanilla, it’s the perfect wine to enjoy during those hot summer months. Food I would pair with this wine would be seafood, cheeses and spicy Latin and Asian fare.
