As summer is winding down we indulged in our last bottles of white wine, whether it be Chardonnay, Pinto Grigio or Viognier. Or, in this case, a nice cold glass of refreshing Sauvignon Blanc. You can’t go wrong with white wine. Its smooth body and refreshing taste will cool you off in any weather. Today I bring you a company that I found that is all about connecting with nature and bringing you wine that will awaken your senses.
One of the reason’s I love this winery is its 100% organic wine making, which for us makes it healthier to enjoy wine.

Bonterra Vineyards have been farming organically since 1987, long before organic products were widely available in America. The inspiration for farming this way was simple: organic grapes produce the purest expressions of the varietals and land on
which they are farmed. At Bonterra, they have a deep respect for the environment. Organic farming and regenerative practices enrich the biodiversity in their vineyards year after year.

Today I bring you two wines that will cool you off in thesehot summer days or nights. First on the list is Bonterra Vineyards 2015 Sauvignon Blanc. This nice full favored wine is perfect to enjoy on the beach or by the pool with a good book by your side.
The flavors of this wine are honeydew melon, grapefruit, and passion fruit, with a hint of lime. Food I would pair with this wine with would be shellfish, herb-roasted chicken, or my Mom’s famous Caesar salad.

Second on the list is my favorite out of the two because, yep you guessed right….it’s a Chardonnay! And not just any white wine. This wine screams to be enjoyed outdoors on a hot summer night on the water, maybe on a lake or by the beach with family or friends. Flavors of this wine are juicy green apples and ripe pears with
Vanilla and honeysuckle. Food pairing for this wine would be seafood, poultry, pork chops, cream sauce pastas, and cheeses.
