Private Wine Maker’s Luncheon

I was invited to attend a private wine maker’s luncheon at the very well-known

Soho Beach House in Miami Beach, Florida.

I was greeted with three amazing wines which we were sampling. There was also a five course meal. The food was delicious and the company was also very nice.

The wines of we were sampling were three red wines from Italy; Bibblano Chianti Classico 2013, Bibblano Chianti Classico Riserva Montornello 2012 and Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Capannino 2011.

Out of all these wines I would have to say the Bibblano Chianti Classico Riserv Montornello, 2012 was my favorite. It was smooth with very low acidity. It is a very

easy drinking wine, with flavors such as cherry and black pepper and coco.

But what got me about this wine was the scent on the nose. It has strong

flavors, such as tobacco spice and balsamic.

The second one I sampled was Bibblano Chianti Classico, 2013. It has to be one of the smoothness red wines I had ever tasted. It’s medium structure with flavors of black currant, oak and tobacco. On the nose, blackberries and caramel.

The third one I tried was Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Capannino,2011. I have to say by the time I reach the third wine I was a little tipsy. But it was a very enjoyable full flavored red wine. This wine is also blended with Sangiovese Grosso grapes making it an amazing wine to enjoy on those hot winner nights.

With flavors of black cherry spicy scents of tobacco cocoa black pepper.

We also enjoyed some amazing food along with the red wines.

The menu consisted of prosciutto crude with melon,

buffalo mozzarella, tomato & oregano pizza, with entrees

of risotto wild mushroom (my favorite), skirt steak,

with chili & broccoli, and for dessert, Tiramisu

This was a very different experience for me but I enjoyed every second of it!
