Fall Boots & Wine

Summer Is Coming To an End.

As summer is winding down, it’s time to put away the flip-flops and the stilettos and bring out your knee-high boots, and fluffy warm slippers. It is your last chance to enjoy some great white wine because we all know, once fall hits we put away the white wine and bring out the nice warm and toasty red wines, such as Cabernet Pinot Noir and Petite Syrah. You might recognize this company from a previous blog post. It is none other than Gwen Hurt from Shoe Crazy Wine.
I can’t think of a better pairing to end summer with.

In 2011, owner Gwen was introduced to the world of wine. It was a journey that would turn into a passion for wine. For the first five years she would attempt to master the art of wine making at her home. One day her daughter asked her; “What do you love and are passionate about?”
Gwen answered, “shoes and wine” and so Shoe Crazy Wine was born.

Their 2012 Chardonnay is a full body refreshing white wine with low
acidity, with notes of sour apple and pear, and on the nose; melon and lime.
I would pair this wine with grilled fish or lime basil chicken.

So say goodbye to summer and enjoy a glass
