So who’s ready for the Kentucky Derby tomorrow? Who will race to the finish line?
Instead of drinking your Mint Julep’s and Bloody Mary’s,
why not sip on some 14 hands wine.
I have two great wines to bring you today. Both are from the Too Hot to Trot collection.
One is a nice refreshing white wine; the second one is a nice bold red wine.
The history of this Winery dates back to the cowboy ages. The landscape of the winery is located in Horse Heaven Hills in Washington State. The Tasting room itself is rustic, just like the surrounding areas of the land. Their tasting room features a beautiful tasting bar, plenty of space to lounge both inside and out, and a unique working barrel room. It’s perfect for sampling some wine while overlooking the true national beauty of the area.
Now on to two of my picks.
2012 Hot to Trot White Blend is a nice refreshing white wine with flavors of floral notes?? and lime with a hint of lemon on the palate.
With low acidity, it makes it a very versatile wine with many foods, such as fruit salad and grilled salmon. It’s perfect for an afternoon pick-nick or pool day.
Looking for a bold red wine? I’ve got one for you!
2011 Hot to Trot Red Blend is perfect for those summer time BBQ. With flavors of cherry and spice and a hint of oak it blends perfectly with a big juicy steak. It also has very little tannins, so it gives way to a subtle spice on the finish??
